How to Create Collections on Opensea Without Gas Fee.
NFT stands for non-fungible tokens which in simple words means unique. Once something is registered as an NFT, it gets a unique digital stamp that allows linking between the owner and that exact digital asset.
Here is how to mint a free NFT on OpenSea.
You will first need to create an OpenSea account, for which you will need a MetaMask Wallet
Create a Collection
You will need to have an idea what the collection name should be, I will create a collection for my most impressive sunsets and today I will post my first one
1. Upload your NFT in OpenSea without gas fee.
After setting up your Metamask wallet, and login in OpenSea, the option to upload your NFT will be available. So go ahead and upload your image, put a name for your art and also a description.
2. Click on ‘Create a Collection’
These are all the information that will be necessary for you to create your collection so be ready to provide it.
In the blockchain option you have to choose the Polygon Blockchain because it is a gas free blockchain and you can have many supplies different from ethereum blockchain where you have to pay a lot of gas fee and you can have only one supply.
Please make sure you select Polygon as your Blockchain – if you select Ethereum, you will have to pay fees.
Now after completing all the informations you have to click on create button and in this moment you NFT is minted and it is available in you OpenSea profile.
3.Creating a new item
After you have created your collection, you are ready to create a new item.
After you create it, you will be able to ‘freeze your metadata’
After you finish, you need to create the item and you get a success message.
4. Sell you NFT for any price.
To start selling your NFT you can click on your minted NFT in OpenSea and click on the SELL button. Then you have to choose the price you want to sell, the quantity and the duration. And finally to start selling click on Complete Listing.
To sell it, you need to click on ‘sell‘ – it is not done automatically.
After you click on ‘sell‘ you will have to enter your price in ETH.
5. Before the item gets listed, you will need to unlock the currency and sign the transaction with your wallet.
You can find it in this link here.
Also, please remember to add (import token of) WETH (Wrapped Ethereum)
According to support.opensea.io, The new OpenSea collection manager allows creators to make NFTs without any upfront gas cost, as the NFT isn’t transferred on-chain until the first purchase or transfer is made.
NFTs made with the Collection Manager follow the ERC-1155 standard, partly to help with gas-free minting and partly to help us add exciting features in the near future.
